Alice feels that the establishment of this museum will contribute to the scientific study of biological diversity and evolution.

#Trivia: Alice Garg is a notable social worker and educator involved in the upliftment of the economically and socially disadvantaged communities of India for the past 40 years and counting. While collecting seashells is her passion, she has channelised her effort and energy towards the betterment of the society.

Alice Garg National Seashells Museum shows excellent shell craft as well as seashells from all around the world. It is India's first and only exclusive seashell museum. Aside from aesthetics, it is an excellent starting point for understanding malacology and conchology, the science of mollusks and shells. There is also knowledgeable assistance, posters, charts, films, movies, and a library for the curious. The administration plans to open an exclusive Marine (mollusk) Science Museum in the near future.

Entry Fee and Timings of Alice Garg National Seashells Museum

The entry fee to visit the Alice Garg National Seashells Museum is Rs. 30 for Indians and Rs. 100 for International tourists. There is no ticket price for kids below 7 years of age.

The museum timings are from 10 am to 6 pm during the months of March through November, and from 10 am to 5 pm during the months of December through February. The museum is closed on Thursdays.
